Alpina was founded in Germany in 1965. The company has close ties with BMW, as close as any tuner or aftermarket company really could have. In fact, the German government recognizes Alpina as a manufacturer, not just an aftermarket tuner. In the US, Alpina cars are sold with full warranties through BMW dealers. Techs are fully trained to work on these cars.

And, since it's based on the Custom trim, which comes without a third row of seats, the Tahoe Midnight is a five-seater. Cargo space behind the second row is listed at 54 cubic feet, with a maximum of 112 cubes with all the seats folded flat.

Autopilot is essentially the combination of two driver assist systems. The first Tesla calls "Traffic-Aware Cruise Control," which is mostly indistinguishable from other adaptive cruise control systems. The second is Autosteer. The hardware is robust: forward radar, eight cameras and 12 ultrasonic sensors can detect vehicles all around it. It can see cars the driver can't, including, at times, two vehicles ahead.
